This is an alert…. RUN and go buy this dress right now! I’m serious. It’s selling out fast, so I don’t want you to miss out. I love this dress so much that I was willing to pay full price for it. You all probably know by now that I am VERY frugal. Paying full price for clothing causes such sorrow for me, and I rarely ever do it. I loved this so much I bought it in BOTH colors the very first time I saw it because I just couldn’t risk it and wait for a deal.
I went to Lane Bryant the day we before we left for our recent getaway to Savannah, GA. When I saw this blue, pink and white maxi dress I just knew it was meant to be.
The sales associate even said, “Wow, that’s a perfect vacation dress!” as she opened my fitting room not knowing my Savannah plans.
The multi-colored version of the dress pictured here just screams summer vacation to me, and the other pink version would be perfect for a baby shower, bridal shower or even a garden/outdoor wedding.
If you’re like me and have a smaller bust, I recommend sizing down. I’m typically a 26/28 in everything at Lane Bryant, but I had to size down to a 22/24 in this dress. There’s plenty of space for my larger hips and booty.
I love flowy dresses like this for summer because I don’t feel the need for shape wear.
Kevin and I spent a TON of time at Wormsloe Historic Site taking these pictures (and also pictures of just the gorgeous landscape without me in them – haha). We laughed because we had so many people stop to ask us if we are professionals and what we were shooting.
Kevin brought his HUGE camera lens for the shoot so I can see why. Also, he really IS a professional and runs a photography business in addition to his job as a CPA. (Shameless plug: check out his work here! What can I say?? I’m a proud wife!)
It makes me laugh and honestly cringe a little bit when anyone refers to me as a model. It’s not that I think there’s anything wrong with BEING a model (I love models & think they’re great!)… it’s just that I am in no way trying to fool myself or anyone else my pretending that I am one!
My cute hubby did pass off the camera to a random passerby and I just loved the way the photo turned out. I can never pass up the opportunity to show him off, so here it is!
I haven’t worn the pink version of the dress just yet but I’m anxiously awaiting the opportunity. In the meantime, here’s the picture from the Lane Bryant website. I can’t wait to wear it soon!

I do like the dress…but currently, Lane Bryant is dead to me. They made one too many patronizing comments about bra sizing on Instagram, and that was sort of my last straw. They’ve been basically ignoring their larger-size customers for years – other than the occasional bone on social media, all their ads are size 14 hourglass. Occasionally I see something cute on someone (like this dress) that makes me question my resolve, but I’m not giving them any more money until buying a bra there doesn’t make me feel like the days when the plus-size section was crammed between linens and fine china miles away from the rest of the store.
Sorry. End rant. You look gorgeous in the dress and I’m sure you will in the pink one as well.

I haven’t seen the bra size comments but I’d sure love to see more selection of small cup/larger band size bras there! It’s struggle city for me!

When I posted on Instagram, they were basically like “we’re sorry you feel that way” and “we have extenders.” This is after they made this huge deal about carrying 78!!! bra sizes. What they mean is, they offer 3 styles in extended sizes, all of them ugly, and all of them only in black and white (or beige). I bought several of the wireless cooling bras a couple of years ago, and they DID have them in some cute patterns, but since then? Not even the wire-free cotton bras come in any of the cute colors or patterns. I’m just done being made to feel like I’m not welcome in a store that ALLEGEDLY wants to make plus-size women feel pretty and sexy. (Also, they almost never send more than one 26/28 in anything to my local store, and they’re like “you can order online!” My response to that is, if I wanted to order online, I would not have put on pants and left the house. The manager said they have zero input into what sizes they’re sent…so even if she tried to request more larger sizes, it wouldn’t matter.)
