There’s nothing more welcoming than a nicely decorated front porch. The way you decorate this area sets the tone of your entire home for visitors and your family alike.
When we first moved into our house last year, I didn’t fully decorate our front porch, but I kept it simple with a nice welcome mat and wreath. This year, I plan to take things to the next level by adding in a few more pieces. I’ll also need to update my welcome mat that has taken quite the beating this year.
In today’s post, I’m sharing the five easy things you can do to spruce up your front porch. As with all of my content, I’m sharing recommendations of the things I love but half the fun is making it your own!

I’ll be the first to admit that organization doesn’t come naturally to me. My natural tendency is to leave things a bit messy and chaotic. I definitely don’t WANT that to be the case and am making an effort to get organized and stay that way.
We went from having a one bedroom apartment on the beach in New York to a four bedroom house with a full basement in Kentucky. I thought it would take us YEARS to even fill the house with furniture but we managed to accumulate a lot of stuff very quickly.

Before we dive into today’s post, I want to announce something exciting… I launched a YouTube Channel! It won’t be replacing the blog but will be a supplement allowing us to dive a bit deeper into the things we’re chatting about here! Plus size fashion, home decor/DIY, travel, and lifestyle!
In the future, many of my blog posts will ALSO feature video content! In today’s blog post I’m sharing five tips for an organized closet and if you scroll ALL the way to the end of the post, I’ve embedded my latest YouTube video which is a tour of my own closet!

Hi, I’m Miranda and while you likely know me for my love of plus size fashion… I’m also obsessed with home decor. Like, give me all the HGTV, Better Homes & Gardens, Southern Living, Martha Stewart, Pinterest etc. etc. etc. obsessed. I can’t quit.
I’ve promised more home content on the blog for a while, and I’ve had SO much fun creating this post. I also love a good excuse to actually work on my house. We’ve lived here for a year and we haven’t completely made it our own yet. Your home decor requests are motivating me to get to it!
Today’s post is all about a personal challenge I gave myself… to decorate my very boring, very plain coffee table beautifully but also on a budget.
I decided to allow myself to spend $50 on the project, and *SPOILER ALERT* I spent even less than that to achieve this look. I’m really happy with the way it turned out and hope it inspires you to tackle an area of your home with a frugal update!

HELLO MARCH!!!!! I always get so excited when March rolls around because Spring is the best! I am so excited for all things Spring fashion, Spring cleaning, and SPRING BREAK! I’m so inspired right now and my mind is racing with all of the things I want to share with you – so many ideas, so little time! Haha.
I’ve been brainstorming the best ways to share all of the things I’m loving with you and how I can organize it in a way that is most beneficial. I’ve spent a lot of time sharing things I’m loving on IG stories and LOVE the conversations we all have via DM when I do. On the other hand, when content disappears after 24 hours and the good discussions are happening one on one, not everyone benefits.
I’ve decided to start sharing a monthly roundup of all my favorite goodies I’m loving on the blog. I’ll share all things fashion and beauty as always, but also home decor, business stuff, entertainment and more. Don’t worry – the IG stories and our awesome convos will continue, but I’m excited to organize my thoughts here and hopefully spark conversations publicly so everyone benefits!
I hope you enjoy it! Let’s dive into my first ever monthly faves roundup! Here’s everything I was loving the most in February!

Real talk, this is a LONG list. I have absolutely zero expectation of receiving all or even most of these items. I’ll narrow this down to a few of the things I want the most and share it with the people who’ll be shopping for me. Hi, Mom! Hi, Kevin!

You know what is completely overwhelming? Hosting a major holiday for the first time. Kevin and I are traveling to New York to spend Thanksgiving with his family this year, but I’m planning on hosting a Thanksgiving meal for some of my family in Kentucky on another day.
We are so excited to finally have space for entertaining, but given that we haven’t been able to in the past… we are definitely lacking in some of the basics we need for hosting.
If you’re like us and plan to host a holiday meal for the first time this year, check out my tips and tricks below. I’ve done all the overanalyzing so that you don’t have to! Haha.

I’m not really sure why, but I’ve never been a great sleeper. I struggle to fall asleep. I toss and turn. I wake up achy. There are many days that I wake up tired even after 8+ hours in bed. My dad still tells stories about how I used to kick, roll and flail when I slept as a child.
As I got older I’d occasionally turn to Nyquil, melatonin, or other sleep aids when things got really bad. While they would help improve my sleep on the nights I used them, nothing really solved my problems long term.
I accepted fatigue and bad sleep as my reality, but for the past two months, I’ve gotten the best sleep of my life. I’m excited to share my story with you because I believe that the change I made in upgrading to a Big Fig Mattress changed my life forever.
You can check out all the specifics about the mattress here and use my code PLUSLIFEBLOG to get the best deal available right now!

I’ve got an Amazon problem, y’all! I LOVE it. I have to say, I’ve gotten way better about my little habit, but July was definitely a little Amazon shopping heavy.
When we were in our apartment in NY, a neighbor once questioned me about what in the world we were buying to have packages arrive every day. Oops! I’m not proud of it, but it is what it is I guess. There was no Target nearby so what was a girl to do?
